Armizare

Armizare is a subcategory of the Martial Art known as Historical European Martial Arts, or HEMA for short. Across the world dedicated students and teachers study ancient manuscripts written in antiquity to learn the art of fighting with swords, knives, axes, and even spears. Armizare traces its origin to the Flos Duellatorum, or Flower of Battle, written in about 1410 by Fiore Dei Liberi. In his day Fiore traveled across the entire Italian peninsula to learn everything about fighting that he could. He eventually became so famous that he was challenged to duels by other "masters" seeking to learn his secrets. He soundly defeated them. Later on in his life he created at least two manuscripts that survived to the modern day. These are the books we study at Lake Superior Armizare.
